Make up : How to make your lips look juicy !

Today's article is about make up and specifically about lips and also some tips to make them look young and juicy ! In the summer it's really important to avoid the winter's no glossy effect so here you can find my personal favourite suggestion for completing any make up look with this easy and sexy way :) NOTE : This trick won't make them look bigger , the point here is to be natural not create something fake . This will just help you highlight your natural lips' view .


So to begin with , before wearing your make up ( be sure the lip part will be the last ) follow your typical skin treatment routine  use a nice soap to clean deeply your skin ( I suggest the 'New Ideal Fresh Gel ' from L'OREAL Paris.It is really amazing ! ) 

TIP ! Use an old tooth brush on your lips and brush them in one direction to smooth them,remove the dead skin and increase the blood's circulation ( this means more red and ''full'' effect lips ) . 

After that, apply your make up , give it the style you want ( soft or smokey eyes, cat-eye effect with eyeliner etc ) , put on your rouge or bronzer and once you are done with them you are ready to highlight the most stunning version of your lips :D ! 

First of all ,let's see what you will need to achieve this look :

Excuse me once again for the bad quality of the photos, my camera is stolen and i haven't bought a new one yet 

• 1. Liquid Make up ( i used CC Cream from Tommy G , tone 2 ) 
• 2. Lipbalm ( i prefer APIVITA's products with organic ingredients )
• 3. Lip pensils ( one in the exact colour of your lips - invisible - and one that is 1-2 tones darker - depends on the colour of the lipstick you will use . )
• 4. Lipstick
• 5. Small brush to apply the lipstick 
• 6. Thick lipgloss ( lighter than your lipstick )
• 7. Transparent extremely liquid gloss

And also , here's a lip 'map' i made to make it easier for you to understand the specific areas i will mention on the following steps : 

1. Lips' outline

2. Inner corners the lips  

3. Middle of the lower lip

4. Middle of the upper lip 






Here are the steps you will follow :) I tried to make it as easier as i could for you !

STEP ONE 
                           

  Put on your lip balm and let it be completely absorbed ( it will take some time ) but it's important for your lips' health and also for the final result to make them look soft and to have high levels of moisture .

( As i mentioned earlier i used APIVITA's one - it's a Greek brand- but i really like it as long as it's natural , with organic ingredients and green tea . Other brands that have nice products like this are KORRES and PROPOLINE ( greeks ) I think they are available online ) .

STEP TWO

Use a drop of your liquid make up and dab it gently on your lips so all the products will be applied easier , last longer and the colour will be perfectly combined . Be careful with the quantity of make up you will use . I used CC Cream from Tommy G , tone 2 for oily skin because i like it's format , it's not heavy and it also has SPF Sunscreen filters :D 

Right after applying the make up:
Draw carefully your lips' outline (area 1 in the lip map above) with the 'invisible' pensil , the one that matches exactly the natural colour of your lips . This step is really important because this will be the 'base' for the next lip liner that will highlight your lips' shape.

I used SEVENTEEN's Longstay lip shaper, number 21 . But it's important to go and test the colours of the lip shapers before you purchase them ,you have to find the colour that matches exactly your natural lips' one .


STEP THREE

Draw again the outline using the darker lip pensil ( depends on the lipstick colour too - i chose a dark purple lipstick so the lipliner is a chocolate colour one )

I used MAYBELLINE's New York , COLORsensational lip liner , number 750 'CHOCO POP' 



STEP FOUR 

Use the lip pensil you used on the previous step and fill the inner corners of your lips ( area 2 on the lip map ) [ left photo ] and then make a virgule line on the middle of your lower lip ( area 3 on the lip map ) [ right photo ]

STEP FIVE 


Now use the 4th and 5th products from the list above , the lipstick and the brush . Put some lipstick on the brush and dap it on your lips so you won't 'erase' the line on the middle of your lower lip , then apply it carefully everywhere ( watch out of the line )

The lipstick is from AVON but i don't remember the number of the tone :/ 


STEP SIX

Put on your lipgloss and follow this little trick : when you apply it on the upper lip don't simply move it but ''lift'' the lip on applying , this will make the gloss stay more on the right place 

I chose a rose tone lip gloss , it is being combined really nice with the dark lipstick and it matches with the most outfits you can possibly choose.



STEP SEVEN

Apply the final product ( 7th on product list ) ONLY  on areas 3 and 4 ( look at the lip map in the beginning ) ! And it's over :) 

Your final result will be this one :) 

                                                                                                                                                              My suggestion for your hair , is to catch up some of them to avoid them stuck on your gloss if it's windy outside , it's preety annoying . So i chose a really fresh hairstyle , without strict ways of catching :) You can also choose a pony tail , your face will be highlighted a lot !

Nails : Ombre Summer Look

Hey everyone :D !

Today's article is about nails and specifically about creating an Ombre look for them ! Ombre is for sure this year's hit and is already widely seen on clothing and hair ! So if you want to amaze everyone around you , keep on reading this article and go for it ! ;)

I really like the combination of different tones of pink and orange so i chose this one to perform :) 

First of all let's state the products you will need to achieve this stunning look in the most easy,cheap and quick way at home !

• PRODUCTS

By the way , excuse me for the bad quality photos but my digital camera has been stolen so i use a webcam and some shots from smartphone . 

• 1. Scissors and rasp

• 2. Base coat with vitamins

• 3. Simple nail polish that will be used as the 'base' of Ombre - for this look i chose white , it's the best 

• 4. A piece of a sponge

• 5. Two or three or more coats with the colours you want your Ombre to have

• 6. Topshine coat 

• 7. Aceton and cotton

Tip for perfect hands :  If you want your manicure to amaze everyone you have to pay attention to your hand's health and spend some of your time to treat nicely their skin . At first be sure you have removed any sign of your past nail polish ( if not use cotton and aceton to remove them ) . After that , wash your hands with soap and warm water and use a scrub product to take away the dead cells of your skin and right after apply a moisturising cream to lock it's moisture. When the cream will be absorbed , you are ready to start your manicure. 

First of all use the scissors and the rasp to cut your nails and give them the desired shape . ( TIP : Prefer a paper rasp instead of a metal one to avoid nail's damage . Always move it to ONE direction otherwise the edges of your nails will be damaged and they will break easily )

Use a base for your nails to protect them from absorbing the colour, make them extra hard and help your varnish's application . I used an Essie base coat .

Right after your base coat will be dried , apply the 'base' you chose for your Ombre . The base won't be visible on the final look but it's important as long as it strengthens the contrast between the colours . If your Ombre has light colours use white as base. It's the best choice!

Take the sponge and make three lines ,one below the other ( as long as you chose three colours ) with your nail polish ( use one for each line ) in the order you want the colours on your Ombre to be.  I used SEVENTEEN and NIVEA varnishes.

Dab your nails with the sponge ( i did this process twice on each nail to have a bolder result ) . At first the skin around your nails will be coloured too but don't worry , you can clean it with cotton and aceton when you are done . So the first look of your hands will be this one:

Clean the skin around your nails with cotton and aceton ( be sure your nails are dry otherwise everything will be a mess ) and be careful to avoid the nail area. 

Add your topshine coat to adjust shine and secure that your manicure will last longer ! ( TIP : If you use top shine coat everyday your Ombre will last really much - IDEAL if you are on vacation and you don't want to take nail stuff with you ) . And finally your Ombre is ready !

That's it ! Now you have the perfect Ombre look for your nails !! ^^

My favourite everyday look - The everything matching one

Hallo to all the dear visitors of my blog ! :)

Today's article has to do with my favourite look , a simple and easy to achieve one that i personally prefer and use it most . As long as it's comfortable, suitable for all the hours of the day ( or night ) and it's not heavy ( something really important if you live in a warm country during the summer ) it's a really safe and fast choice to look nice no matter what you wear . It can be combined with many different styles giving a balanced result ! So let's get started !

MAKE UP

On this article i added more photos of the steps , seperated , to avoid the long text , i think it will be more easy for you :)

Step 1:

After cleaning and applying cream on your face ( i talked further about it on the previous article ) start up with concealler and foundation to make a perfect base for your make up ( for this look i chose Maybelline's Dream Pure BB cream for oily skin because it's too light , it combines make up , sunscreen filters and also contains 2% calicylic acid that dries the pimples ) .

Step 2 :

 Put on some champaign coloured eyeshadow to the whole area of the eye and some white one to the inner corners to make the 'lighting' effect . ( TIP : If you don't have a champaign coloured eyeshadow you can easily make a similar one by mixing some simple colours : light pink,gold,light brown and white - if the brown is dark reduce it's amount and increase the white's one ) . Also if your skin is light make sure you will use more pink eyeshadow so that the final product will have a pink base when it reflects the light and if you have dark skin ( or you are sun tanned ) do the same about the gold colour . Then make a thin line with a black liquid eyeliner just like i did . ( TIP : if you don't have a steady hand use a thin well shaped black eye pensil for the lower line )

Step 3 :

Put eye liner to your both eyes so that the lines will be simillar , maybe you will need to make the one thicker or thinner so that you will have the same result to both eyes ( TIP : use a cotton stick with make up remover to avoid the stains of the eyeliner )

Step 4: 

Add some black mascara and you are done with your eyes ! Simple as that ! :D

Step 5 : 

For this look i used just a nice bronzer which i applied under the bone ( not on it ) by using a big brush ( helps the product to be applied everywhere and combines it with your make up so that the result will look really natural ) . 

According to the lips i first used lip balm to smooth them and when it absorbed i used a lip pensil that has a similar tone with my lip colour and made a thich line following their shape .

( NOTE : if you use a lip pensil that is darker than your lips' colour you will need to add a lipstick on the same colour with the lip pensil otherwise you will have a 'Pamela Andersson' style around your lips and it's really not so nice. So be careful with it ) . 

Optionally you can add some gloss if you want . I prefered to keep it simple and just used the lip pensil .

HAIRSTYLING

This is a really simple and natural look so you are free to choose any hairstyle for it , it won't look '' too much '' eather way . My personal suggestion , as long as i am against on ironing the hair and damaging them all the time - especially during the summer , is to make a nice braid look ( either with a simple braid , or 2 , or a complex of them - i will show some tutorials in the next articles ) .
Braids are awesome and are a safe choice for all the hair types so even if you don't have straight hair you can just make a braid and it will look simple and nice without causing damage to your hair by straightening them all the time .

CLOTHING AND FURTHER STYLING

This style of make up and hair is really simple and can be combined with everything . My favourite look for a walk or anything , is a simple black comfy dress ( in the summer avoid tight clothes ) combined with a colourful patterned summer scarf ( prefer a cotton one ) and sandals on the same mood . ( Mine are handmade, i bought a simple pair of them and bought also bows and stuff and made them the way i wanted ) . You can also hold a medium size bag without bold statements as long as the scarf and sandals have already given the summer colourful style . And in the end , for accessories i chose small earings , my favourite necklace ( it's a really simple one that matches with anything ) and a big hand watch in simple colours ! :)

Combination of Gold and Red on make up and further matching with clothing and hair

Hey everyone !!

I am Irina and this article is requested by a friend that she finally inspired me to make this blog and i thank her a lot for this motivation  :) !

To begin with , the request was about how to combine gold and red colours on make up in a way to look sexy but keep it on looking fresh and appropriate for a girl on her early 20's . After that the question is how to match this make up in a girlie way of clothing and hairstyling in order to avoid it looking '' too formal '' . 

MAKE UP
To get started be sure that your skin is totally clear ( face soaps in gelly format work better on me ) and that you have applied the cream you usually do. After it will have been absorbed by your skin, it will be ready for the make up process ! Note : this make up should be avoided if your skip is not clear of 'red signs' or black areas under your eyes because the 'trick' to keep this make up young and fresh is to avoid the high coverage of the skin !!

So , put on some concealler ONLY on the areas that you notice colour contrast ( TIP : conceallers with green base 'hide' the red signs and those with yellow base can hide the black signs as well ) and then put on just a little foundation ( i prefer liquid format because on my skin -mixed/oily- it gives more natural view ) and be sure you will apply it everywhere ! It's really important to AVOID the 'thick' coverage view ! Your skin must look fresh and young .

As long as the red lipstick is really bold and attracts the eye ,it would be better to choose a light and soft gold eye shadow ( try to avoid glitter ones if you go out in the daylight ) which you will apply in the whole area . I usually apply a little white glitter eyeshadow in the inner corner of the eyes and also to the bones next to the eyes. Then use an eye liner ( i used black liquid one with thin brush ) and make a line on the 1/2 outter line just on the line of your eyelashes ( it will look so natural and give you a bold eye view ) and then finish with a little black mascara .

For the lips , be sure you apply a lip balm and let it be absorbed so your lips won't be dry and have annoying skin parts coming out. Then use a lip pensil to draw your lip's shape ( TIP : make a bolder like in the edges of each lip and i will make your lips look well shaped. ) . Next it's the turn of the lipstick and to complete your make up add some lip gloss to make your lips look juicy and mention that you are still young ! Especially in the summer glossy effect on lips looks really nice !

To avoid making the make up effect look too heavy i didn't put any rouge matterial on my face but if you feel you really need it just apply A LITTLE , so it will be barely visible. The effect of make up tricks that are barely seen is very charming ,classy and appropriate for all the hours of the day !

CLOTHING

You'd better choose clothing with simple colours such black and white that will balance the high contrast between gold and red. My choise was a nice black and white dress without special cuts or shapes that even though it has many patterns still smooths the colour variety and matches nice with the make up colours. All in all keep it simple. Avoid the heavy earings or bracelets. My choise was small earings and just a small simple necklace . 

HAIRSTYLING

According to hairstyling it's really important to keep it simple too . The make up is too bold and it needs simple stuff to look balanced and young. So my choice for your hair is either to make a pony tail , or you can catch them on the top of your head but not in a strict way. Leaving some sections of hair free gives you the sense of '' childish'' youth . I also add a red bow around of them but it's up to my style so if you don't like it you can avoid it !

The whole thing started with some friends that asked me advices about make up ideas  , hairstyling and clothing and ways of combining them all together to a nice balanced look.

I want to mention here that i am NOT a professional make up artist,hairdresser or stylist , i am just an everyday woman and i have my own sense of combination , so it's preety normal to have both people who like and dislike my ideas ! 

Also i want to underline that as long as i am not educated on any of the reffered issues , all the advices and ideas i give can be performed by any girl or woman .
